Olive Young Korean Skincare Haul 2025
I was truly fortunate to go on a girls-and-mom trip to Seoul, Korea, last week, and let me tell you, it was absolutely jam-packed with shopping adventures. One of the highlight spots was a fantastic store called Olive Young, often referred to as the Sephora of Korea. It was filled to the brim with every kind of skincare, makeup product, and beauty item you could imagine. We ended up spending over two hours in the store, carefully choosing just a few skincare products to pack and bring home. In fact, we ended up needing to buy an extra suitcase just to fit all our new beauty treasures. Apparently, an Olive Young store is planned to open in LA in 2026. I wanted to take a moment to share my full skincare and beauty haul with you, in case you ever get the chance to shop there, and explain why these products are so highly recommended and effective!
Let’s Go!
Torriden Lip Balm
The Torriden Lip Balm was highly recommended on TikTok, so I thought, Why not? Let's get it. But why is it so good? This lip balm is infused with 2% Fuligo Wax and made of low-molecularized Jeju Hizikia Fusiforme Extract to help soften dead skin cells on rough lips. It’s great for cold weather that dries up our poor lips. It has intense hydration with shea butter, jojoba oil, and 5D ceramide. The website suggests using it at night as a lip mask by putting a thick layer on the lips before
going to bed, like a lip pack, and replenishing your lips with moisture.
Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen
This sunscreen was a favorite for many of my friends and family. Unfortunately, after the FDA changed its formula for the US, the sunscreen became very thick and heavy, and no longer felt like the lightweight sunscreen people loved. So I had a lot of friends ask me to pick up Beauty of Joseon for them. What was great was that it came in packs of two and was very affordable at Olive Young. Why do my friends like it so much? It’s a gentle sunscreen suitable for sensitive skin, packed with rice bran extract; it reduces oiliness and provides rich moisture, creating a water-filled texture. It works really great under makeup and still gives a nice moisturized finish. It also has an SPF of 50.
MEDIHEAL Collagen Ampoule Pad
These MEDIHEAL Collagen Ampoule pads are rich in milk proteins and collagen to help hydrate and improve skin texture. It’s used as a mask: place the pads on both cheeks and the forehead, then leave it on for about 10-20 minutes. It contains Adenosine to help skin elasticity. Vegan-friendly and great for sensitive skin.
Vivelab Revive Therapy Hair Scalp & Brow Ampoule
After having children and getting slow into perimenopause, I have had a lot of hair thinning and hair loss. I’m excited to try different hair-loss products before going down the extreme chemical route, such as Rogaine. Vivelab is an ampoule you can use directly on the area of hair loss, and improvement is typically seen within 2-4 weeks. Although I haven’t tried it yet, it is infused with three hair loss relief ingredients: dexpanthenol, L-menthol, and salicylic acid. Contains 10 patented ingredients at high concentration and three peptides to strengthen the scalp and improve the barrier. After trying it, I will update this blog post to give a review!
Rejuran Moisture Treatment Mask with PDRN
Rejuran mask contains PDRx 70,000ppm (skin-soothing care) and c-PDRN, helping you address skin dryness, skin sensitivity, and a weakened skin barrier all at once with highly concentrated active ingredients. It has a dual function: brightening and improving wrinkles. It’s also great after peels or microneedling to soothe skin heat or irritation. The C-PDRN is made from salmon cells that help your skin look younger and healthier by boosting collagen production and promoting healing.
Round Lab Camellia Deep Collagen Firming Gel Mask
I love gel masks, and I’m currently a big fan of the Medicube PDRN Salmon gel masks, but I wanted to try the Round Lab Camellia brand. It works faster than other gel masks in 20-30 minutes, improving skin hydration and radiance. Contains Jeju Island's famous flower, Camellia, which is high in antioxidants and inositol to promote collagen production and inhibit collagen breakdown for enhanced skin elasticity.
BB LAB Low Molecular Collagen S
Korea has many great edible collagen supplements that are easy to take. I really wanted to try this out since we don't have these kinds of supplements in the US. It has an SF3X-7 blend of L-Arginine, L-Glutamic acid, Grape concentration powder, Haematoccus powder, star anise, ginger powder, and aloe gel. This was highly recommended and can be taken with a little water. Some people said it made them feel more wide-awake and alert, so caution if you plan to take it at night! If you are wondering what type of gelatin it's made with, it's made with FISH GELATIN with barely fishy taste!
Menokin Moist 30 Second Quick Bubble Mask
I’m in love with this product! The color analysis consultant Emily introduced this when I went to Korea and did our consulting/makeup application. She applied this before putting on our makeup for INSTANT hydration! I was in love. You do not need to wash this off.
Calendula - Lindsey Modeling Mask Cups
Close to the registry, they sometimes display extra products to tempt shoppers — and I spotted these little cups and thought, ooh, what’s this? Out of all their options, I chose calendula because it’s a healing herb known for soothing eczema. These cups contain single-use, gel-like masks in powder form. All you need to do is add water and quickly apply it to your face. The mask dries and peels off easily.
Once applied, the mask adheres perfectly to the skin, preventing the evaporation of its cooling, moisturizing ingredients while locking in hydration and strengthening the skin’s moisture barrier. We use hydrojelly masks in our office with the same effect. I often suggest applying a favorite serum first, then using this mask to help seal it in.
One tip: most people notice there’s enough powder for two uses, so before mixing it up, split the contents and store half in a ziplock — or share the experience and do the mask with a friend!
Breath Mint Ball & Mint sprays and Toothpastes
I just wanted to try their well-known mint sprays, mint balls, and toothpastes. Here are the selections I picked and why.
EUTHYMOL Whitening Purple Toothpaste - Although people say it tastes like a poultice and the scent isn't to die for, it has a great whitening and cleaning effect on the teeth. I might use this once in a while when I need to brighten up the teeth after lots of coffee drinking.
Unpa Chacha Whitening Toothpaste - It has a very light mint and chamomile flavor and uses 35% of hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth. It also contains ECOCERT-certified organic ingredients in the formula, like eucalyptus, sage, and aloe extracts.
Dentiste Mint Balls — recommended by one of the employees at Olive Young. I was going to purchase Euthymol balls, but he said this worked better. The mint ball size is very small but packs a punch and has a very strong mint flavor. So if you are sensitive to peppermint, this is not for you. You basically just put it in your mouth, and it pops with a minty-fresh flavor. It contains beef gelatin, so it is not vegan-friendly.
Dentiste Fresh Breath Spray - Also recommended by the same employee, this one is easy to keep in your purse, or for me, great after lunch hours and then treating clients. For some reason they do not sell it in their online store.
Final Thoughts:
Korean skincare can feel overwhelming with so many amazing options out there. I still rely on Corthe and Dermathod in my professional treatments, but exploring new K-beauty favorites from Olive Young is always exciting. From the Beauty of Joseon sunblock to the Menokin 30-second bubble mask, these products show why Korean skincare remains a leader in innovation, hydration, and results.
I hope this haul helps you find some new Korean skincare products to love and add to your routine!
